Winners from the I.E.C.T. ecosystem GENIUS ideen+gründer Preis 2020

Award for two founders from the I.E.C.T. ecosystem

Thomas Auzinger and Carsten Pfeffer were awarded first and second place in the GENIUS ideen+gründer preis 2020 by riz up. The two founders were participants of the I.E.C.T. – Summer School and the LBG Innovator’s Road. We would like to congratulate Thomas and Carsten and are delighted that their ideas have been awarded.

The I.E.C.T. – Hermann Hauser is pleased to announce the awarding of two founders from the I.E.C.T. ecosystem. Thomas Auszinger and Carsten Pfeffer were awarded first and second place in the category “Ingenious Research and Development” with their start-ups Automold and Neurolentech.

Both founders had the opportunity to get to know the I.E.C.T. – as participants of the I.E.C.T. – Summer School on Entrepreneurship and the LBG Innovator’s Road and to accompany them on their way into entrepreneurship.

Thomas Auzinger and Bern Bickel took first place. AutoMold reduces the effort of mould design and thus makes casting production interesting for small series and prototype production. AutoMold enables automated mold design within minutes. The technology is offered as a computer-aided service. The parameters can be individually adapted to the final product. AutoMold is therefore more cost-effective and less time consuming than previous technologies.

The team around LBG Innovator’s Road participant Carsten Pfeffer was awarded second place in the category “Ingenious Research and Development”. Neurolentech is pursuing a new approach to develop a better and more specific diagnosis for autism and epilepsy patients. As a consequence, this should also improve the treatment options. This will be done with the help of blood cells taken from the patient. These cells are patient-specific and can therefore provide individual information about disease mechanisms and drug development. The results will support doctors in diagnostics and the pharmaceutical industry in the development of new drugs.

The I.E.C.T. team is pleased about the awarding of these projects and congratulates the winners Thomas Auzinger and Carsten Pfeffer.
