This year the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce is again an essential part of the I.E.C.T. – Summer School on Entrepreneurship 2020 and partner of the matchmaking fair “Idea meets Business”. Which (programme) aspects of this event are particularly interesting for the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce?
As a Chamber of Commerce we are happy to provide our members with access to new technologies. At Idea meets Business, both sides benefit: established companies can offer the start-ups their know-how and help them to develop, and the innovations of the start-ups can help the companies to develop new products and methods.
Due to the current unclear situation, travel restrictions and the current guidelines for events, I.E.C.T. – Hermann Hauser has decided to offer the I.E.C.T. – Summer School on Entrepreneurship 2020 as a digital program for the first time. Have you been able to gain experience with online programmes in recent weeks and what do you think are the strengths of this digitalization for the participants?
The Junge Wirtschaft Tirol organised the first virtual summer cocktail in mid-July, which was very well received by the participants.
Although face-to-face events would also be desirable, the digital version has the advantage of being able to take part more stress-free, since, for example, there is no need to travel. Through the planned break-out sessions, companies and start-ups can easily exchange information.
You have already been partners of the programme and part of the event several times. Which aspects do you find particularly exciting and interesting? Is there a particular event from the past years that you would like to highlight here?
It is always exciting to observe how resourceful and innovative start-ups are in their technology development and how cooperations between start-ups and established companies are created by “thinking around corners”.
The “Idea meets Business” connects start-ups with already established and successful companies. How can interested companies become part of this matchmaking fair and thereby get to know innovative and motivated start-ups and exchange ideas with each other? What added value is generated by a future cooperation between a young start-up and an established company
Interested parties can register free of charge here in the I.E.C.T. – Network and thus become part of the programme and events. Not only can they get to know all the start-ups participating in the I.E.C.T. – Summer School on Entrepreneurship, but they can also get to know their ideas more closely during the Idea meets Business through short pitches and break-out sessions. The aim is to strengthen the cooperation between companies and start-ups.
