Investment for alumni of I.E.C.T. - Summer School.

Sharper image quality and even more energy efficiency: this is what a new display technology from VitreaLab promises. The spin-off of the University of Vienna, which was only founded at the end of 2018, was developed by the founders Chiara Greganti and Jonas Zeuner. Thanks to the great development of VitreaLab, Jonas was able to qualify for the Summer School 2019 and then get an investment on board. Our strategic partner Apex Ventures and IST Cube jointly invest a six-digit amount in the young company.

Wolfgang Neubert of APEX Ventures is convinced of the development possibilities of VitreaLab: “The exciting mixture of inventive talent, scientific precision and entrepreneurial spirit of the two founders convinced us to bring in our company building expertise comparatively early in order to optimally prepare VitreaLab for future financing rounds”.

With the help of public funding from Austria and the European Union, the company now wants to use the investment sum to expand the team. Additional equipment is required for continuous development in order to advance the technology towards market maturity.
