ParityQC: new spin-off for quantum optimization
Wolfgang Lechner and Magdalena Hauser also want to use the “quantum advantage” and thus follow the trend of searching for solutions to complex optimization problems. Hermann Hauser recognized the potential of the physics professor’s technology and took part in the spin-off in the preceding year. ParityQC aims to become the global market leader in the field of quantum optimization.
ParityQC can program, scale and parallelize complex information and therefore offers the optimal basis for the international market and sets standards for the future of quantum computers. However, the Tyrolean company is not limited to creating an algorithm that can process large data sets but has also developed an operating system (ParityOS) in parallel. ParityOS serves as a basis for the optimization of algorithms and chip layouts, which can be produced automatically.
Behind this technology is the physicist Wolfgang Lechner. He is professor at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Innsbruck. He was awarded with the Houska Prize in 2019 for the LHZ architecture, the patent on which the ParityQC technology is based. The architecture was developed in collaboration with Philipp Hauke and Peter Zoller at the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and at the University of Innsbruck. Magdalena Hauser is co-founder of ParityQC. The former CEO of I.E.C.T. – Hermann Hauser is also co-founder of the non-profit association AI Austria (Austrian Society for Artificial Intelligence).
Magdalena Hauser will talk about the Tyrolean spin-off in the upcoming newsletter.

ParityQC CEO-Magdalena Hauser:
From Investor to Co-Founder
The Austrian deep tech start-up ecosystem continues to grow: ParityQC (PQC) was founded in early 2020 based on a research idea by PQC Co-Founder Wolfgang Lechner and his research partners Philipp Hauke and Peter Zoller (LHZ architecture). The Tyrolean start-up focuses on solutions to complex optimization problems (as reported by I.E.C.T.) in the field of Quantum Computing. I.E.C.T. spoke with Co-Founder and CEO Magdalena Hauser.
