The IECT – Hermann Hauser Team wishes all of you a wonderful Christmas time, relaxing days and a good start into the new year 2021 full of exciting projects and opportunities.
2020 – An unforgettable year is coming to an end. A year in which each of us probably became a little bit more of an entrepreneur him/herself in our own environment.
We would like to say THANK YOU:
- To all the start-ups we had the pleasure of working with on their exciting projects and who take a step every day to make their ideas accessible to society.
- To all the mentors and experts who have intensively helped to create solutions to problems and who support the entrepreneurs with their know-how.
- To all investors who recognise the potential in the founders and projects and work together to realise them.
- To all corporate partners who are open and enthusiastic about helping to shape future projects right now.
- To our international ecosystem, which together always strives for excellence and openness.
Together with our team and our network, we are already looking forward to many exciting projects in the upcoming year, true to the motto:

LBG Innovator’s Road 2019-2020
The first batch of the LBG Innovator’s Road in cooperation with New Venture Scouting, initiated by the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft, was successfully completed in summer 2020.
9 months, 10 start-ups and numerous mentoring hours with national and international experts – that was the LBG Innovator’s Road 2020.

9 months, 10 start-ups and numerous mentoring hours with national and international experts – that was the LBG Innovator’s Road 2020. For the final module, all participants and mentors met in the Talent Garden in Vienna to jointly take the last step on the roadmap.

Thomas Auzinger and Carsten Pfeffer were awarded first and second place in the GENIUS ideen+gründer preis 2020 by riz up. The two founders were participants of the I.E.C.T. – Summer School and the LBG Innovator’s Road.

Due to the current COVID situation, there is a COVID special call for the aws Creative Impact Konditionen “Create Prototype” and “Reach Marketability”. For both calls the regular guidelines and funding requirements apply.
The special calls focus on new digital and sustainable projects and business models for revitalising the economy and strengthening resilience as well as solutions from the social impact area for crisis management and crisis resolution in the context of the Corona crisis.

David Wurm – alumni of the Summer School 2019 and current participant of the LBG Innovator’s Road – was nominated for the Rudolf Sallinger Award. A prize known for bringing promising early-stage commercialization ideas to the stage.
From the idea at the beer table to the €500,000 pitch that laid the foundation for the further course of the project – David gives insights into his life as a young entrepreneur-to-be, the team and his experiences with the programmes and the network of I.E.C.T.
